Privacy notice
What we collect when you log in with X, why, and how to have it deleted. Short version: only what we need to run your account and the leaderboard.
This is a working draft written in plain language. It will be reviewed and replaced before wagering launches.
What we get from X
When you log in with X, X shares your public profile with us: your X user ID, handle, display name and profile picture. We may also receive the email address on your X account if X provides it.
We don’t get your password, and we don’t read your DMs, followers or timeline. We never post on your behalf.
What we create
A Wegent profile linked to your X account, a referral code, who referred you (if anyone), your points history and leaderboard rank, plus anything you add to your profile (careers, bio, and portfolio, Telegram or Discord links) and links to X posts you submit for points. If you connect a wallet later, we store its public address.
What’s public
Your X handle, display name, profile picture and points appear on the public leaderboard. Your careers, bio and any links you add appear on your public profile. Your email, referrer and wallet address are not shown publicly.
Why we use it
To log you in, show your profile and rank, credit points and referrals, prevent abuse (such as multiple accounts), and keep the service running.
Who processes it
Supabase (authentication and database) and Vercel (hosting) process data for us. X handles the login itself under its own privacy policy. We don’t sell your data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: to keep you logged in, and to remember a referral code for up to 30 days if you arrive through a referral link.
Deletion and your rights
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. We’ll remove your profile, points history and referral records; information already recorded on a public blockchain can’t be erased.
To request deletion or a copy of your data, message the official Wegent account on X. A dedicated contact address will be added here before launch. You can also revoke Wegent’s access in your X settings under “Connected apps”.
Changes
We’ll update this notice as Wegent grows. The date above shows the latest version.
