Battle of Minds
Moves
You and your opponent each pick Attack, Defend, or Dodge in secret. Both moves stay sealed until both stakes are in, then they’re revealed together.
Attack beats Dodge, Dodge beats Defend, and Defend beats Attack. The same move is a draw.
You can play another person or take on the house.
Create a challenge
Open BoM from Games.
- 1Choose A person or The house.
- 2Pick Attack, Defend, or Dodge.
- 3Set your stake. It’s 0.01 to 0.1 SOL against a person, or 0.01 to 0.02 SOL against the house, and your opponent matches it.
- 4Post it. If no wallet is connected, the button connects one first. Your stake only leaves your wallet when you post.
Stakes are real $SOL, held in Wegent escrow until the match settles. You sign once, and then you’re free to leave.
Changed your mind? Cancel an open challenge at any time and your stake comes back to you.
Every challenge you post against a person gets its own link you can share anywhere. Opening that link works the same as accepting from the board.
Accept a challenge
Open challenges are on Pending.
- 1Choose a challenge that isn’t yours.
- 2Pick your move.
- 3Press Accept. You stake the same amount as the creator.
You sign once. After your stake lands, the match settles even if you leave.
If two people accept at the same moment, the first stake to land takes the spot and the second is returned automatically.
Once both stakes are in, the match sits on Ongoing until it settles. Finished shows both moves and what was paid.
Payout
The pot is both stakes combined. When there’s a winner, it’s split like this:
- Winner
- 90% of the pot
- Challenge creator, win or lose
- 5% of the pot
- Wegent
- 2.5% of the pot
- Each player’s referrer
- 2.5% of that player’s stake
If a player has no referrer, or their referrer has no saved wallet, that share goes to the monthly airdrop instead.
If you created the challenge and won, you take 90% plus 5%. If you created it and lost, you still get 5%. House games work the same way, because you’re always the creator. If you accepted and won, you take 90%.
A draw refunds both stakes in full, with no fees. Winnings go to the wallet you staked with.
Playing the house
The house never sees your move before it plays, and house stakes go up to 0.02 SOL. You can have up to 3 house games in progress at once.
The house plays up to 20 games at a time. If it’s at that limit, or can’t cover your stake right now, the challenge is cancelled and your stake is refunded automatically.
Play without X
You don’t need an X account to play BoM. Connect a Solana wallet and you’re ready.
If you log in with X later and save that wallet on your profile, your games and game points come with you.
If a stake fails
Before your wallet opens, Wegent checks the stake on Solana. If the network hiccups, it tries once more on its own. If it still fails, you’ll see one of these:
- Not enough SOL. Your wallet needs the stake plus a small network reserve. Nothing was sent.
- The Solana network is busy, moved on, or couldn’t be reached. Try again.
- You closed the wallet prompt. The stake still needs your signature, and nothing was sent.
- Someone else accepted first. Your stake is on its way back.
Points
Every settled game earns you points. A win earns 30 points, a loss 25 points, and a draw 1 point.
Practice and cancelled games earn nothing.
Free games
If you joined through an ambassador’s link, your first BoM game can be free. The Ambassadors page explains who qualifies.
You earn no game points from a free game. Your opponent staked their own $SOL, so they earn points as normal.
Practice
